We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team to dive in and learn the process and projects that fuel a food manufacturing plant! Interns will have the opportunity to own projects that create meaningful impacts for the organization. 

What you’ll do:

• Shadow process and project engineers, maintenance personnel, and production operators to understand our products, equipment, projects, and areas for improvement. 
• Facilitate, execute, or lead continuous improvement projects/activities with support from managers.
• Work with the plant engineering team to develop capital appropriation requests and develop adequate documentation to justify proposed investments by defining scope, preparing a project budget, and establishing project schedules. 
• Identify, work with, and lead vendors/contractors to achieve project objectives. 
• Optimize process control parameters in partnership with manufacturing, quality, and R&D to establish standard operating procedures. 

What you’ll bring:

• Drive to learn and a go-getter attitude.
• 2-3 years of experience pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related discipline. 
• Ability to communicate with peers, management, plant employees and contractors. 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize varying tasks. 
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
