Planner

In this temporary role, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-pressure planning production environment and coordinate the interrelated functions involved in the manufacture of sweet and beverage flavours, according to customer demand, plant capacity, raw material, and production resource availability.

This job is based at our offices in Milton Keynes, Bucks., UK.

What you will do:

• Provide production schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis that meet sales demands and optimise efficiencies 
• Deliver complete and accurate planning scheduling records and reports
• Effective forecasts to ensure adequate Finished Goods & Intermediate inventory levels to prevent shortages, reduce inventory excess and obsolescence, and minimise inventory investment
• Work closely with the customer service department to ensure shipment dates are achieved and initiate follow-up actions when dates are unachievable by normal means
• Collaborate internally to ensure raw material availability to fulfil the requirements of production plans
• Work with our internal departments on potential out-of-code materials, resolve formulation issues

• You are highly numerate & able to manage complex data
• You are IT savvy and find it easy to learn new software, as this will drive your success in this role 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to work well with all levels of employees

• Show initiative and work well individually as well as part of the team
