Sensient’s Environmental Health and Safety Harbor Beach location is seeking a talented intern for Summer 2025!  The intern will work with all Health, Safety & Environmental functions for the Harbor Beach, Michigan location. This position will require collaboration and work with Corporate EHS, Quality and Regulatory personnel. The intern will also be encouraged to explore other areas of interest to learn more about fundamentals and the general operations both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience.

What you’ll do:

• Take a project and lead it from start to finish
• Develop and Maintain site written EH&S procedures and related documents
• Maintain site EH&S compliance calendar and track completion of compliance activities
• Manage and track site EHS concerns to resolution, and provide status reports
• Preparation and submission of all site EHS required reporting
• Implement and track site specific H&S training requirements and documentation
• Assist in the preparation of, and submit required EHS reports to group and corporate
• Coordinate plant safety committee meetings and activities
• Manage facility contractor safety program
• Develop, manage, track and maintain all EH&S training programs
• Serve as functional member of the site audit and inspection program, complete reports and track observations to closure
• Maintain liaisons with regulatory agencies and outside organizations as necessary
• Work with site engineer for capital requests related to all EHS projects as directed
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring:

• At least 2 years of college science coursework preferred
• Able to learn new systems quickly.
• Prior internship in the food industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
