Service Engineer (CA)

We're searching for a front-line Service Engineer to join our team in Turlock, CA. A successful candidate will have a background in Networking with a customer service focus and the ability to provide end-user support to a global user base. This role focuses on end-user satisfaction and blends technical problem-solving with exceptional customer service/communication skills. It is vital that this role is carried out in a professional manner. As a Service Engineer, you will make an impact on employee productivity by resolving technical issues efficiently, collaborating and escalating to other IT teams, and thoroughly communicating updates. Through responsive customer focused support, you will contribute to day-to-day operations across the organization. You will be a valued member of the Service Desk team working collaboratively with the Network Support Team for timely resolutions.
What you’ll do
- Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication within the team, with peers, and management. Act as a liaison between the service desk and other business units, providing status of progress to the customer.
- Task Management: Ensure that all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls receive appropriate attention.
- End-user support: Serve as a point of contact for technical support, resolving a wide range of hardware, software, connectivity and operating issues for local and global employees, for production and lab facilities.
- Service Desk Support: Resolve problems related to computers, laptops, printers, software applications, etc.
- Network Support and Troubleshooting: Provide first level/tier 1 support for basic WAN/LAN issues.
- Critical Thinking and Analyze Trends: Identify emerging trends and issues and make suggestions for technical solutions to solve current and possible future problems.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in a Service Desk and Network Support role.
- Providetechnicalassistancetousers,addressingtheirnetwork-related and service desk related queries/issues.
- Working experience or strong understanding of enterprise technologies and basic network fundamentals with an understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and basic hardware.
- Experience supporting applications related to manufacturing, and logistics is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others.
- High attention to detail, can take directions well and follow-through.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as a customer-service mindset and the ability to communicate with non-technical users while working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong technical background with excellent problem-solving skills.
- English as a primary language, multilingual preferred
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 2 years on a global 24x7 technical team.
- Relevantand current certificationssuchasCCNA,CompTIANetwork+, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a support role or technical team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach and a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service and ensuring user satisfaction throughout the support process.
- Ability to participate in after-hours and on-call rotations, including occasional holiday shifts and lift 35 lbs.
- Ability to travel between Turlock and Livingston and possible travel <5% of the time.

The hourly wage for this position is $31.35 – $38.46. Pay within the range is based on several factor, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In additional to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
