Intern - Product Manager

Sensient’s Flavors & Extracts Product Management North America division is seeking a talented Intern – Product Manager for our Summer 2025 internship program! If you have a passion for food, like to learn, take ownership, and want to help lead holistic product strategy, including: Market and Segment analysis, Competitive Analysis, Go-To-Market Strategies, and Product Classification/Differentiation then we have the internship for you. This position will work cross-functionally in the organization and will have customer-facing interactions. 

You will also be encouraged to explore other areas of interest as to learn more about fundamentals and the general operations both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience.

What you’ll do:

• Successful classification of commercialized selling products (working with existing product managers and technical team members)
• Create competitive mapping across key product lines of Yeast, HVP, and Flavors
• Analyze current business practices and present suggested best practices for the business in the key product segments (stop/start/continue)
• Analyze and present pricing strategies for CIU within applications of the product types

What you’ll bring:

• Pursuit of a B.S. degree in Food Science, Project Management or Business Administration.
• Any previous product, development, marketing, or management experience in Food or Ingredient companies is a plus (Retail or Foodservice).
• Analytical and detailed-oriented, and comfortable discussing technical details 
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to navigate in a complex matrix organization 
• Action orientation, self-starter, and ability to guide decision making 
• Must identify and interpret customer, consumer, and market trends.
• Should be a creative thinker and team player, enjoy customer contact and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel).
