We are looking for an Engineer to join our team and support the Sensient Technologies (Philippines), Inc. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and provide expertise in the design, modification, construction, and start up of capital projects. You’ll assist in trouble shooting equipment and process problems. Coordinate the work of outside engineering firms or contractors working on Sensient projects. This opportunity is 100% office-based at our Biñan City in Laguna, Philippines office.

What you’ll do: 

• Assist in the identification and justification of capital projects. Develop, engineer, implement and monitor all aspects of projects including timelines
• Manage various trades during projects, as assigned, to ensure proper building construction and installation of equipment occurs on schedule
• Perform preliminary engineering for the various departments by concepting solutions and designing modifications to existing buildings, equipment, and processes. This includes equipment sizing, equipment arrangements and alternates, control systems, and equipment cost estimates and quotes.
• Assume project manager responsibilities, when assigned, for capital projects while responsible for designing and installation requirements for new processes or modifications to existing processes 

What you'll bring:

• General understanding of basic engineering technologies with 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Good mechanical/engineering skills and a hands-on attitude
• Preferably with working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement tools
