Maintenance Planner & Scheduler

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Maintenance Planner & Scheduler with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in using CMMS systems, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. A solid understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance processes, along with the ability to work cross-functionally, is essential. Additionally, we’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive in problem-solving, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

What you’ll do:  

• Review work requests, evaluate scope, and allocate resources to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
• Collaborate with equipment owners, supervisors, and maintenance teams to plan preventive, predictive, and non-emergency corrective maintenance tasks.
• Develop and maintain detailed job plans, including steps, materials, tools, man hours, safety precautions, PPE, GMP, and food safety protocols.
• Manage CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track workflow, equipment history, and work order accuracy.
• Interface with the storeroom and coordinate the inventory management process to ensure parts are kitted for work orders and required spot buys are purchased.

What you’ll bring: 

• Proficient/advanced knowledge of CMMS systems and experience with material handling equipment systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage and collaborate with multiple departments.
• 5+ years of work experience in a maintenance environment, including planning, scheduling, and supervisory experience.
• Strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, and ability to analyze data using tools like Excel.

About Sensient Natural Ingredients

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Livingston, California. 

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 USD.  Pay rate is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the Turlock, California facility and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
