HR Generalist, ANZ

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support our New Zealand business, with some additional responsibility for our site in Australia, based in Auckland, NZ. The HR Generalist will need to have solid experience and the ability to coordinate HR activities primarily at our New Zealand site, whilst providing HR administrative support to our site in Victoria, Australia.  This role is ideal for someone looking to grow and make an impact in their HR career. 

This exciting opportunity is 100% office at our Mt Wellington, New Zealand office!

What you will do:

• Partner with our General Manager and Leadership Team at our New Zealand business unit to execute on Sensient’s Global HR strategy and ensure a positive employee experience.
• Work closely with APAC HR Director and the regional APAC HR team to exceed performance goals, contribute positively and impactfully to our businesses, and help one another. 
• Be responsible for Talent Management cycle, including facilitation of annual goal setting, performance reviews, succession planning, employee training/development, etc. 
• Ensure accuracy of HR data and proper utilization of our HR systems. Utilize data to support business operations and workforce planning. 
• Support recruiting efforts, in partnership with our APAC Recruiter and Global Talent Acquisition teams, to attract in exceptional candidates.
• Facilitate an environment of continuous learning and coaching. Support leaders and employee through employee development initiatives, find pathways for internal promotions, and champion employee growth. 
• Support APAC HR Director to investigate employee complaints, manage disciplinary incidents, and solve workplace conflicts as they arise. Ensure compliance with local and national labour legislation and stay on top of trends in these areas.
• Own the support and administration function of Human Resources for both our New Zealand and Australia sites. 

What you will bring:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with people at all levels of the organization and across different cultures. 
• Knowledge of local employment regulations in New Zealand 
• A passion for food! 
• Ability to work full-time on-site in an office and manufacturing environment, Monday to Friday. 
• 3+ years of human resources experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not required
