Microbiology Technician I

We are growing and looking for aMicrobiology Technician (9:00am – 5:00pm, Sunday – Thursday) to join our team and play an essential role keeping our product safety program and execute improvement initiatives to achieve Plant Level KPI’s in a team centric environment. 

What You’ll do:

• Conduct microbiology testing for a variety of industries (food, cosmetics, and pharma).  Adhere to expected sample turnaround times to ensure product safety and quality.  
• Prepare media for daily production and maintain inventory.
• Perform microbiological environmental sampling such as air monitoring, surface monitoring, water, etc.  
• Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures.  
• Work within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.

What You’ll bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biological Science).
• 2 years of microbiology experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Aseptic Techniques.
• Knowledge in Lean and 5S.
• Good Interpersonal skills working in a team environment and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
