Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: 

A skilled Maintenance Technician will perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.  The incumbent will have experience and solid technical knowledge, manual dexterity and physical stamina.

What you’ll do: 

• Create and manage routine preventive maintenance according to the maintenance plan (yearly and weekly) and ensure equipment evaluations.
• Plan and issue purchase requests to ensure sufficient stock of necessary spare parts to prevent or minimize breakdowns.
• Check machinery/utility systems and contact relevant suppliers for repairs in case of damage.
• Install appliances and equipment, and inspect control panels, electrical wiring, and safety systems, to ensure functionality and ongoing plant operations.
• Other duties related to preventive and corrective maintenance as assigned.

What you'll bring: 

• Vocational Certificate/High Vocational Certificate (electrical//mechanical). 
• 3-5 years’ experience in the factory environment, food industry preferred.
• Experience in using hand and electrical tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
