Instrumentation Electrical Technician

We are looking for an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician (I&E) to join our team as a vital member of the operations team. This critical role is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all instruments, control systems and electrical equipment in the plant. If you enjoy working on a variety of tasks in your day-to-day then Sensient is for you!   

What you’ll do:  

• Perform advanced level work within inspection, calibration, repair, testing, adjustment, installation, and removal of all electronic and electrical plant equipment and systems. 
• Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
• Inspect, repair and remove all types of, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, and work with electrical systems.
• Work with a wide variety of instruments, including ph, conductivity, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, flow meters, control valve positioners, press transducers, RTD’s, Thermocouples, etc.
• Provide proper installation and diagnosis of AC/DC motors and controls, including across the line, soft starters and VFD’s, etc.
• Plan layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus plant wide.

What you’ll bring: 

• Degree from an accredited Industrial Electrical, Instrument or Technician program and a minimum of 4 years work electrical experience or Journeyman Card Electrician status performing Instrumentation and Electrical duties in a manufacturing, Industrial environment. 
• Thorough working knowledge of process and electrical test equipment, its use, and its care, and can use this equipment for diagnosing and troubleshooting of all electrical systems and instruments.
• Experience with all or a combination of several Allen Bradley RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, Compact Logix, AB/Rockwell HMI’s, Factory Talk View Studio.
• Working Knowledge of the National Electrical Code(NEC) and is capable of reading blueprints and electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams and function blocks. 
• Flexibility. We are a 24/7 facility, must be available for off shift Call ins and repairs.

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Livingston, California. 

The hourly wage for this position is $42.54 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
