SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER, Natural Ingredients, Northeast and Midwest

We’re looking for a Sales Account Manager to take charge of a strategic territory covering the Northeast and Midwest United States. This role includes managing key CPG customers, spice blenders, and food service providers—along with high-potential targets that are essential to our continued growth.

This is a high-impact role where responsiveness, initiative, and follow-through are the keys to success. While deep industry experience is not required, a relentless drive to win is non-negotiable.

In this role, you’ll work closely with new and existing clients to:

  • Optimize product mix
  • Launch product innovations
  • Manage forecasts and run rates
  • Lead pricing negotiations and oversee contract management

What you’ll do:

  • Position Sensient Natural Ingredients (SNI) as a strategic partner by delivering high-performance products focused on functionality, on-time delivery, safety, and flavor.
  • Build and manage key relationships with customer R&D, Purchasing teams, and senior leadership; actively engage in long-term projects and new business development.
  • Identify unmet customer needs, communicate Sensient’s mission clearly, and develop strategies to win new business within the assigned territory.
  • Design and implement customer programs that strengthen brand value, drive acquisition and retention, and elevate Sensient’s reputation in the market.
  • Conduct competitive analysis (SWOT), monitor customer trends, and resolve issues to improve service, optimize product performance, and drive sales growth.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Strong sense of urgency, interpersonal communication skills, and comfort working with contracts; prior sales experience with proven success is required.
  • Proficient in computer systems; experience with Power BI and Salesforce is a strong advantage.
  •  Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical or business-related field.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; in-person collaboration at our Turlock, CA office is expected throughout the year.
  • This is a travel-intensive role (minimum 50%) across the U.S.—not a home office position.

  • Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.
