Sensient is hiring a Quality Control Technician II to join our team. If you are passionate about quality and food safety, we want to hear from you! You will be responsible for the QC functions at the Amboy, IL facility. This role will be unique as you will be exposed to all facets of the QC department roles to assist where needed.

We have a Monday through Friday 1st Shift opening (6:00AM - 2:30PM); hours and shifts may vary due to business needs; may occasionally cover weekend hours.

What you’ll do:

• Learn all aspects/functions of QC roles with initial concentration on review of manufacturing orders to coordinate utilization of rework (including sampling and testing),  HACCP documentation and managing the Quality data base
• Test all incoming samples from the work centers to ensure compliance to specifications
• Assist quality control leadership to provide coverage for vacations to ensure efficiencies are maintained

What you’ll bring: 

• Demonstrated strong organizational and communication (oral/written) skills and prior HACCP experience.
• A strong attention to detail and familiarity with documentation review and physical lab testing
• Cultivate a continuous improvement mindset with the intention of filling in gaps to ensure efficient work flows and testing.

Wage Range:

The hourly rate for this position is $24.35 - $32.50 per hour USD.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
