Supervisor Maintenance

Job Summary: 

Based at Sensient Colors, King’s Lynn, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team in their daily maintenance activities. Facilitate the manufacture of high-quality products, by ensuring the reliability of the plant, equipment, and facilities.  The Supervisor will be required to be “hands on” supporting other members of the team.

The role includes the support of key profitability goals, via timely completion of capital project equipment installation.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain the King’s Lynn facility, plant, safety equipment and systems, to comply with GMP and EHS requirements, most notably ATEX regulations
• Schedule, action and document, statutory testing of pressure vessels, lifting equipment, steam boilers, electrical equipment, and firefighting/detection equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Manage an effective Preventative Planned Maintenance system to identify and repair faults and minimize unscheduled shutdowns.
• Effectively delegate work to the Technicians and to ensure minimal disruption to production.
• Ensure maintenance staff are trained and competent to carry-out the tasks assigned to them; and that they have a full understanding of their work procedures and their responsibility to follow them.             
• Raise purchase requisitions for parts and supplies as required, ensure spare parts and stores operate effectively, ensuring parts are booked in and booked out, supporting the development of controlled stock levels.
• Support the Engineering Manager in the development of the Site Engineering and Maintenance strategy
• On call 1 week in 4 for 4 evenings, Monday to Thursday.

What you’ll bring:

• HNC or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• A sound working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, mechanical systems and civil construction
• 3 years at a supervisory level of an engineering or maintenance function within a chemical or process environment
• Engineering experience of hazardous environments and a working knowledge of ATEX would be helpful
• Knowledge of Maintenance planning systems + Inventory Tracker
