Quality Control Lead

As a QC Lead within our Lab, you will be at the forefront of overseeing the daily operations in the lab while driving continuous improvement across the team. If you have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and experience in quality assurance within the food and beverage industry, we’d love to have you on board!

What you’ll do:

• Oversee the daily operations of the lab, ensuring consistent quality testing and adherence to safety protocols.
• Lead investigations into deviations and customer complaints, using root cause analysis methods to resolve complex issues.
• Facilitate clear, two-way communication between production, quality, and management teams, fostering collaboration.
• Champion quality improvement projects and initiatives, while maintaining food safety programs within the facility.
• Supervise and train team members, setting clear quality metrics and ensuring alignment with company values and culture.

What you’ll bring:

• A strong understanding of quality testing methods, including analytical and sensory testing within the food and beverage industry.
• Proven experience in mentoring and coaching others, with the ability to influence positive change and action.
• Familiarity with QC instruments and systems, especially in flavor-related products.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues effectively.
• A background in quality assurance or food safety programs, including HACCP, ISO standards, and other global food safety certifications.

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The pay for this position is $ $28.45 USD.  Pay is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Livingston, California facility and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
