What you’ll do

• Support SQL development by maintaining and enhancing queries, stored procedures, and scripts under senior developer guidance.

• Pull, clean, and validate data from multiple systems to meet operational and reporting needs while resolving data discrepancies.

• Assist with performance improvements by testing enhancements to query speed, indexing, and schema structure.

• Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand requirements, translate them into SQL tasks, and deliver updates within agreed timelines.

• Document SQL logic and data flows to ensure clear, accurate records of changes and system behavior.

What you’ll bring

• 0–3 years of SQL experience gained through coursework, internships, projects, or prior roles, with a solid grasp of relational databases and core SQL querying. A Bachelor's degree in IT or a Business related discipline.

• Analytical problem-solver able to troubleshoot data issues using logical, structured methods and strong attention to detail.

• Eager learner comfortable adopting new tools, techniques, and working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

• Foundational exposure to performance tuning concepts (indexing, query optimization, execution plans) and data quality practices like cleansing, transformation, and validation.

• Interest in scaling up with familiarity or curiosity around data governance, security best practices, and data warehousing or large-scale database environments.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $95,000. Pay within the range is based on several factor, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In additional to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
