General Laborer

As a General Laborer at Sensient, you’ll be responsible for daily production on your assigned production line. You’ll ensure that all items are packaged according to the standards set forth by both the company.

What you’ll do:

• Read and follow blends and drum weights posted in work area.
• Clean and prepare drums for filling.
• Fill drums to pre-established weights.
• Sample multiple products correctly, as per standardized procedures.
• Fill out “In process Produced” and “Product Used” reports correctly.
• Lid, tag and palletize multiple finished products as per standardized procedures.
• Compute drum tares and plot results on a control chart.
• Understand and react to control chart rules.

What you’ll bring:

• Have good Mechanical skills/aptitude
• Self-Motivated and willing to adapt to a variety of situations, as well as the ability to learn and be trained on new processes/procedures
• Good planning and communication (written and verbal) skills and attention to detail
• Have integrity, good moral character and the ability to lead others
• Knowledge of order processing, HACCP, GMP practices and plant safety
• High School diploma preferred

About Sensient Natural Ingredients: 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The hourly rate for this position is $23.64 per hour USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
