As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility that handles both dry and wet processes. Whether you’re troubleshooting equipment issues or performing preventative maintenance, your ability to think critically and learn new technical skills will be essential to success in this role.

What you’ll do:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and respond to equipment breakdowns to keep operations running smoothly
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including electrical components, moving parts, and support systems
• Work safely and effectively with a variety of tools, including both hand and power tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams to guide repair and installation tasks
• Communicate clearly with team members and outside technicians about equipment status and needs
• Support facility systems including boilers, air compressors, and fluid-based operations
• Participate in continuous learning to stay up to date with evolving systems and equipment

What you’ll bring:

• Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• A willingness to work various shifts and extra hours when needed
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, motors, and piping
• Working knowledge of electrical theory, pneumatic controls, and hydraulic systems
• Comfort using welding tools and fabrication techniques when repairs are needed
• A positive attitude and desire to grow your technical skills over time

About Sensient Natural Ingredients: 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The hourly pay for this position is $33.99 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
