We are looking for an Application Scientist ll to join our team! You’ll be responsible for product applications development, product shelf-life studies, product improvement, technical support, and other R&D tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

What you’ll do:  

Maintain and supervise the Pilot Plant, including overseeing the maintenance of the pilot plant equipment, necessary supplies and pilot plant sanitation, plan and execute applications work independently or collaboratively with Sales and Marketing staff to support business objectives, conduct cost analysis for product development & product renovation projects, coordinate product sensory testing and sensory objectives with the central sensory team, effectively contribute to new product ideation by leading or participating in new product development projects, customer focused collaborative teams and other methods of developing new product concepts

What you’ll bring: 

• Completed BS degree in Food Science or related field
• Minimum 10 years of industrial food R&D experience, preferably in ingredient development and food applications development.
• A thorough understanding of nutrition, food chemistry, shelf life and sensory studies
• A good understanding of Food Safety, Quality and FDA Regulatory

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.
