Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary: 

Based at Sensient Colors, King’s Lynn, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the maintenance team in daily activities. You will be required to be “hands on” supporting the Engineering Manager in the development of the Site Engineering and Maintenance strategy.

The role includes the support of key profitability goals, via timely completion of capital project equipment installation.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain the King’s Lynn facility, plant, safety equipment and systems, complying with GMP and EHS requirements and ATEX regulations
• Schedule, action and document, statutory testing of pressure vessels, lifting equipment, steam boilers, electrical equipment, and firefighting/detection equipment, ensuring compliance
• Manage an effective Preventative Planned Maintenance system to identify and repair faults and minimize unscheduled shutdowns
• Effectively delegate work to the Technicians and ensure the staff are trained and competent to carry-out the tasks assigned
• Raise purchase requisitions for parts and supplies as required, ensure spare parts and stores operate effectively, supporting the development of controlled stock levels
• On call 1 week in 4 for 4 evenings, Monday to Thursday

What you’ll bring:

• HNC or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• A sound working knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, mechanical systems and civil construction
• 3 years at a supervisory level of an engineering or maintenance function within a chemical or process environment
• Engineering experience of hazardous environments and a working knowledge of ATEX would be helpful
• Knowledge of Maintenance planning systems + Inventory Tracker
