Maintenance/EHS Specialist (6 months), Australia

We are seeking for collaborative Maintenance/EHS Specialist to join our Operations team in Australia. You will provide maintenance expertise and enforce EHS policies that align with local regulations and international standards. You will also assist various departments in troubleshooting equipment and process issues while ensuring compliance with government regulations. This exciting opportunity is 100% office-based at our Melbourne Office in Victoria and will be a 6 months contract duration. 

What you will do: 

• Oversee and implement Environment, Health & Safety programs that will help build safety culture in the business

  • Schedule & coordinate Work Health Safety manning and safety inductions 

  • Schedule & coordinate emergency preparation activities

  • Conduct and record incident reporting & corrective action tracking

  • Conduct workplace inspections , audit and Work Health Safety compliance activities

  • Prepare, review & edit Work Health Safety training materials

  • Assist in return-to-work process 

  • Assist Production Manager to identify, control and reduce risks

• Monitor compliance by ensuring that site, production facilities and equipment are all maintained to optimal operational standards

  • Assist Operations Manager to implement and manage Autonomous Maintenance Software (AMMS)

  • Conduct regular site inspections and identify any maintenance requirement

  • Follow-up, coordinate and schedule maintenance activity raised by shop floor

  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities in maintenance management software

  • Review , implement and monitor Preventive Maintenance program

  • Laise with supply planner and production manager to schedule maintenance activities

  • Assist operations manager in Capital project activities 

You will bring on: 

• Certificate IV in Environment, Health and Safety is preferable 

• Trade or technical qualification in mechanical or have experience in managing and scheduling maintenance activities

• With at least 5-7 years of related working experience

• With good analytical / engineering problem solving skills and a hands-on attitude
