Raw Material Specialist

In this temporary 6-month role, you will support our Quality team with the processing and inputting of data of our raw materials and arranging laboratory testing on samples as required. In this responsible position you will work closely with both national and international colleagues.

What you'll do:

• Process and receipt the raw materials coming into our warehouse, thoroughly checking received documentation.
• Book in materials and input results into our ERP system.
• Use asceptic techniques to sample the raw materials according to risk assessment requirements.
• Arrange and prepare laboratory testing as required.
• Catalog and confirm which raw materials are available for use using our ERP system.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience and knowledge of the asceptic techniques involved in working in a microbiology/laboratory environment.
• An understanding of how to handle powders and liquids in a microbiology/laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data management.
• Excellent attention to detail, with an understanding of when to escalate issues appropriately if required.
• Experience in food ingredient raw materials would be an advantage.
