Information Technology Engineer

In this newly created role, we are looking for a an I.T. Technical Data Engineer to join our Colors business   This position is a key member of the Sensient team, where you will be collaborating onsite, 5 days per week. Working at our locations in St. Louis, MO or Sauget, IL are preferred.   We will also consider candidates who can work out of our Hoffman Estates, IL or Milwaukee, WI offices as well.

The IT/OT Engineer position is responsible for the support of infrastructure and operational applications at 60+ global locations.   Your proven documentation experience cannot be understated for this position.  

What you will do:

• Use your technical expertise that extends beyond industry certifications, network, server, and cloud support activities, articulate and concise spoken and written communication.
• Be responsible for the discovery, documentation and support for applications and devices in the Sensient environment. 

What you will bring:

• Technical and troubleshooting skill; the ability to capture and isolate root causes.  
• A willingness to learn and understand the processes running in the Sensient environment. Customer-focused service and perspective. 
• Willingness to take calls in off work hours to ensure services are working 24/7/365. 
• Ability to diagram complex IT environments including all elements required to allow system to be supportable and understood by operations and security teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or demonstrable equivalent experience. 
• Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in IT
• Expertise with IT infrastructure architecture  
• Expertise with Lab and Production applications
• Expertise with all Microsoft products including Windows Server and all roles like DNS, DHCP, AD, GP, File and print sharing, NTFS.  
• Expertise with IoT Devices
• Experience with a global company
• Up to 60% travel requirement
