We are looking for an Accounting and Financial Analysis Manager to join our team in Livingston, CA. This position is responsible for the safeguarding of assets, accurate reporting of financial results, and budgeting/forecasting of the Sensient Natural Ingredients business unit of Sensient Flavors Incorporated. This position will assist the Controller with financial reporting. This position will also partner with Plant/Manufacturing Operations team to help them achieve their goals, and seek ways to better serve internal and external customers. Using accounting and financial analysis experience, this role will support management and provide data driven recommendations. In this role, you will also be tasked with the supervision of seasoned finance professionals.

What you’ll do:

• General Accounting functions
  • Assist with coordinating the month end close and maintain the general ledger system.
  • Review month-end inventory balances and transactions.
  • Post Journal Entries to GL and manage accruals.
  • Support the Controller with Corporate Reporting requirements at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Work with plant management on inventory management and controls.
• Production Metrics and Statistics
  • Must gain a deep understanding of Raw Material inputs and drivers about Sensient grown products (onion, garlic, and Parsley). Manufacturing activities range from dehydration, to cooking, milling, blending, and repacking.
  • Develop and report on production Key Performance Indicators to plant management.
  • Review spending (Supplies, Repair & Maintenance, and Labor) on a regular basis and provide summarized information to management.
  • Manage product standard costing (Bill of Materials, Work Center rates, etc.)
  • Review and publish manufacturing variances.
• Financial Analysis
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Run Return on Investment (ROI) analysis on capital projects.
  • Support Operations and Sales team with ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Ensure corporate/divisional policies and procedures are followed throughout scope of position (critical issues, etc.)
  • Perform special projects as assigned by Divisional controller/Sensient Technologies Incorporated.

What you’ll bring:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education; MBA preferred; CPA is a plus.
• 7 or more years of general accounting experience required.
• Finance and Cost Accounting experience of +5yrs for a manufacturing and/or food processing business.
• Supervisory experience required.

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The salary range for this position is $104,300 - $173,850.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
