Manufacturing Engineer II

We are seeking an Automation Engineer with a knack for solving complex challenges to  join Sensient Natural Ingredients in Livingston, California, and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the future of natural ingredients. Directly reporting to our Engineering Manager, you’ll contribute your expertise to design, modify, and launch high-impact capital projects. From the initial planning phase to construction and startup, you’ll have the chance to shape projects that push the boundaries of innovation.

What you’ll do:  

• Identify, justify, and lead capital projects from development to implementation, ensuring timely execution.
• Manage various trades during projects, as assigned, to ensure proper building construction and installation of equipment occurs on schedule
• Design innovative solutions and modifications for buildings, equipment, and processes, including sizing, layouts, control systems, and cost estimates.
• Take charge as project manager for capital projects, overseeing design and installation of new or modified processes.

What you’ll bring: 

• 3 – 5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing facility, ideally with packaging machine experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 
• Working knowledge of drafting tools such as AutoCAD and AutoCad Inventor
• Working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Your ability to lead, collaborate and engage others to work towards and achieve a common goal.

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Livingston, California. 

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
