Domestic Import/Export Specialist

We are looking for a Domestic Import/Export Specialist to join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business in Turlock, California. The Domestic Coordinator will liaise with staff, customers and logistics third parties to coordinate the shipping and delivery of goods. Connect with purchasing, customer service, shipping and receiving to coordinate all transportation requirements and determine best shipment method. You will also do all logistics invoice coding, auditing, data entry and communicate issues.

What you’ll do:   

• Conducts data entry in JD Edwards, Sensient TMS and specific customer freight management programs related to lead times, shipment dates and transportation methods
• Reviews and ensures accuracy of inbound / outbound documentation and procedures 
• Reviews carrier invoicing for accuracy and approves freight billing for all inbound, outbound and internal movement of product 
• Update all invoice KPI and help Specialists to meet month end and quarter end communication
• Creates and communicates inbound / outbound traffic schedule to maximize staffing utilization 

What you’ll bring:  

• Four years of general transportation logistics and familiarity with knowledge of booking transportation requirements
• Experience with TMS, WMS, and other SAAS/ERP systems, excellent computer skills (Excel/Word)  
• Transportation knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs
• Good problem-solving skills 
• Judgment and Decision Making -- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.  

The salary range for this position is $66,275 - $110,475.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at Turlock, California facility and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
