Exciting times ahead in the world of flavour and colour innovation! We are seeking for an individual who are self-driven and has strong passion for baking and confectionery. You should be able to carry out scientific application trials and conducting both sensorial and quantitative analysis to solve our customer’s product development challenges in colour and flavor applications. You will have ample opportunity to further their career to more senior, customer-facing roles within the business.

This exciting opportunity is 100% office based at our Biopolis office.

What you will do: 

• Develop application tools in Bakery and Sweet Goods segment to demonstrate the sensorial and the aesthetic performance of the flavor and color solutions.
• Support promotional campaigns and initiatives for external customers with close collaboration with Marketing, Commercial, and Local Technical Teams. 
• Expand the flavors and colors library with continued review, evaluation and stability studies. 
• Participate in pilot and production trials with high degree of technical challenge.
• Support customer trainings and technical workshops to promote flavor and color solutions
• Ensure smooth laboratory operation by maintaining raw material availability and good running condition of bakery processing equipment.

What you will bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, culinary, or applied science related to food 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sweet goods category such as bakery and confectionery products preferably with knowledge in product development involving use of flavors and colors
• Understanding of ingredient technology, their usage, interactions, and processing.
• Creativity, passion, and keen interest in the science behind baking and confectionery
• Willing to travel to SEA 20%-40% depending on the business needs

Sensient new global innovation center GIC will bring together scientists and technologists from many different Sensient business units, including : Food colors and flavors – Pharmaceutical - Sensient natural ingredients – Bionutrients – Cosmetics.
