Senior Purchasing and Logistics Specialist

The Senior Purchasing and Logistics Specialist is responsible for securing equipment and supplies to support the operations of Sensient Turkey. The role manages logistics activities related to import, export, and customer deliveries, ensures all shipments comply with destination legislation, and updates and optimizes the dispatch process.

What you’ll do:

• Integrate Materials Requirement Planning functions with the Sales and Operation Planning process to enable automated procurement activities
• Secure high cost, equipment, or services as needed or requested for the operation for the operation
• Coordinate purchasing support to Engineering Department on capital projects
• Provide purchasing service and information for other departments and affiliates as required and/or requested
• Support Purchasing Manager in transportation contract negotiation 
• Develop and improve orders and work instructions, as well as processes and systems, to ensure the requirements of export and import operations are met 

What you’ll bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields
• Proven years of purchasing and international logistics experience 
• Knowledge of ERP systems, JD Edwards is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with fluent Turkish and English (written and spoken)
• Able to meet deadlines, plan and set priorities
