We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Geesthacht, Germany, with responsibility for supporting additional Sensient locations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment and contribute to accurate financial reporting and process excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, customer billing, and cash applications
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Maintain and update the general ledger in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely collection and payment processing
• Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve accounting and billing queries and discrepancies, while maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with audits, provide supporting documentation and responding to inquiries, prepare financial statements, and analysis as needed by management

What you’ll bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent years of hands-on accounting experience 
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) and French is a plus
• Proficiency in ERP systems and in Microsoft Excel 
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills 
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
