We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team and lead the Engineering and Maintenance Departments. This will include developing, engineering, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of capital projects for all Plant facilities as well as the development and management of the department staff. 

What you’ll do:

• Work with management staff to continuously seek process and efficiency improvements.  Manage capital projects ensuring that projects are scoped appropriately and remain within budget and are completed on schedule. Report and justify variances to budget or schedule.
• Provide direction for the maintenance supervisor and use KPI’s to direct resources for continuous improvement of the facilities and equipment.
• Assist with cost control programs.  Assist in identification and justification of capital requirements and work with suppliers and Group Engineering to achieve most appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
• Take responsibility for the 5-year capital plan in Juneau and prioritize plant needs with corporate expectations on plant investment.
• Identify necessary building repairs and assure continuous maintenance of equipment through utilization of Preventative Maintenance program.  Perform regular audits to ensure that PM's are effective.  Report findings to Maintenance Supervisor and provide necessary direction to ensure that appropriate corrective actions are implemented.       
• Work in conjunction with the Plant EHS Manager to ensure the Plant is in full regulatory compliance.  Provide guidance and direction to ensure necessary corrective actions are implemented.  Report findings to Plant Manager, Plant Superintendent, and QC Manager.
• Manage employee performance management, objective setting and budget within Engineering and Maintenance

What you’ll bring:

• Engineering management/supervisory experience
• Ability to develop and execute capital needs to meet the goals of the capital plan for infrastructure and compliance
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance (PPM) and condition-based monitoring (CBM) as well as working knowledge of more advanced reliability engineering tools
• Knowledge of electrical design, troubleshooting and implementation
• Knowledge and experience managing parts inventory systems
• Understanding of waste water treatment plant operations and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with government regulations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
