QC Technician III

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician III responsible for efficiently and promptly performing HPLC and ICP-MS analyses, as well as particle size measurements, on raw materials, specialty products, and both in-process and finished paints and lacquers; to ensure the quality and safety of manufactured products in accordance with specifications.

What you’ll do:

• Analyze all samples from raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products using HPLC and ICP-MS.
• Maintain appropriate quality control records and reports to ensure traceability in support of the Quality Management System.
• Enter results into JDE Edwards.
• Ensure the proper use of quality laboratory equipment and materials in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.
• Compile and report monthly metrics related to the instrumentation area.
• Provide guidance, support, direction, and leadership to quality technicians and quality laboratory supervisors through positive interactions with all staff during daily operations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (production, food safety, quality control team (raw materials, specialties, synthetics), maintenance, R&D)
  

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree or technical degree in chemistry, QFB, Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, or equivalent. 
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Equipment operation: Liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, ICP-mass, particle size analysis, UPLC, IR.
• Office professional Management (Excel, PPT, Word, etc).
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (e.g., handling of chemicals, reagents, operation of laboratory equipment: balances, potentiometers, ICP-MS, HPLCs, UV spectrometers, IR, Particle size, Minolta spectrometers, etc.)
