Production Operator

We are looking for a self-motivated Production Operator on a temporary contract for three months  to join our team in King's Lynn and play critical role in supporting a wide range of activities for the production process, including: packing, cleaning, formulation and material movement.

As a key member of the Sensient team, you will be required to push boundaries and innovate onsite. 

Shift pattern is Day shift, followed by Night, alternating weekly:

Nights (36 hours per week)

18:00-6:00 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Days (44 hours per week)

10:00-18:00 Monday

06:00-18:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

What you’ll do:

• Assist in the manufacture and processing of powder colours. Calculate, weigh, and charge raw materials. 

• Operate processing plant, which may include blenders, nautas, matcons and high sheer mixers. Follow all operating procedures written and verbal. 

• Repack colour and sachet packing.

• Clean equipment and work area per standardized procedures

• Assist in the movement of materials with the use of a forklift truck and pallet truck

What you’ll bring:

• Ability to to undertake basic mathematical calculations, percentages, fractions and decimals. 

• Ability to operate and maintain equipment according to safety, environmental and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. Forklift licence essential.

• Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.  Color and dust particles may be present in the air or throughout the facility.  Allergens may be present in the air.

• High School diploma or equivalent. (Prior chemical manufacturing experience preferred).
