Quality Control Lead Technician

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the effort in the optimization and standardization of new and existing quality processes to achieve maximum quality and laboratory efficiency within our quality system. Use Chemistry and Statistical knowledge to oversee product specifications and review changes to meet customer needs and expectations. Function as a liaison between Quality Control St. Louis and other areas of the company to advise on quality process.
• Serve as the Quality Control representative on new process introductions into electronic systems and our plant. 
• Lead or serve as a key member on assigned quality improvement teams
• Respond to questions from customers, affiliates, and other departments related to Quality Control procedures. Evaluate the impact of specification changes based on customer requests to align parameters.  
• Review historical results and collaborate with analytical team on product risk.  
• Implementing and executing new processes and products for the Quality Control team. 
• Training new technicians and continually improving processes that allow us to hit our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science required with 5 or more years of experience in a related laboratory experience; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Ability to work with multiple teams to understand needs and coordinate tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.  Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communicator with strong cross division/function team leadership skills.
• A highly motivated self-starter who is able to think independently yet work as a team player.
• Ability to ensure the highest level of commitment to Safe Quality Food (SQF) in order to provide assurance that all products have been manufactured according to the highest possible standards. Support statistical analysis when required.
