Custodian

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily cleaning/sanitation in the assigned area.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to read and write, drive electric floor scrubber, lift pallets, push trash container, wiping, vacuuming, hosing and sweeping.

Worksite:  Indoors/outdoors, hot, cold, noisy, exposure to color dust.  Requires standing on metal grating, concrete and ladders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Sweep / vacuum floors in the assigned area.
• Run floor scrubber and/or mop floors in assigned area.
• Dispose of the daily trash in the assigned area.
• Wipe down hand rails in assigned area.
• Clean rest rooms.
• Scrub walls in assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Will be trained by Sensient to operate a scissor lift.
• Remove trash from designated area.
• Clean table tops in designated area as appropriate
• Clean stairwells and handrails in designated area.
  

SQF RESPONSIBILITY:

Ensure the highest level of commitment to Safe Quality Food (SQF) in order to provide assurance that all products have been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalency not required, but helpful.

DRESS:

Uniforms and safety equipment furnished by the company including hairnets, beard covers, dust masks, lifting belts and respirators as needed.

SKILLS:

• Ability to follow instructions
• Verbal communication
• Operate riding scrubber
• Operate floor sweeper
• Work well with others
