We are seeking a Cycle Counter to join our team in Turlock, CA. I this role, you will safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and stage materials in support of warehouse and distribution operations. This role requires advanced equipment operation skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting and inventory control practices. The position supports operational productivity, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Accurately move materials to and from designated storage locations, production areas, staging zones, and shipping/receiving docks. 
  • Conduct routine and scheduledcycle countsto verify inventory quantities, product identification numbers, and storage locations. 
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and variances; identify root causes and communicate findings to supervisors or inventory control personnel. 
  • Safely operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, pallet jack) to load, unload, transport, stack, and stage materials in accordance with company procedures and safety standards and perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment; document findings and report mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately. 
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, or related technology to record inventory movements and maintain accurate records. 
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently while verifying product counts and condition. 
  • Maintain proper inventory rotation practices (e.g., FIFO) and ensure products are stored in correct locations and identify damaged, missing, or mislabeled materials and take appropriate corrective action. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards while following all company policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and support operational efficiency. 

What you’ll bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred with 2+ years experience operating forklifts or powered industrial equipment in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred.

  • Experience with cycle counting, inventory control, or warehouse management systems preferred and a valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required. 

  • Proficiency in operating various types of powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently in fast-paced warehouse environments.

  • The ability to maintain accurate inventory through consistent cycle counting, verification of quantities and locations, and proper documentation of inventory transactions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify operational issues, inventory discrepancies, or workflow challenges and takes appropriate action to resolve problems and improve processes. 

  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. 

  • Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to support daily operations and resolve issues and effective time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet productivity goals while maintaining quality and safety standards. 

  • The ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to50 poundsas required

These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Agricultural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.

The hourly wage for this position is $20.93 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
