Seasonal Field Worker

We are seeking a Seasonal Field Worker to join our field harvest team in California. 

What you’ll do:

• Operate from a moving harvesting machine/platform that advances gradually across farmland.
• Manually separate debris and dirt clods from harvested onions/garlic during conveyor transport. 
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.

What you’ll bring:

• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time while performing grading duties, as well as occasional walking over furrows and/or rough terrain.
• The ability to lift up to 10 lbs. repeatedly while sorting through dirt clods moving across a conveyor belt and climb ladder-type steps (four or five steps) to get on and off the equipment, several times per day.
• The ability to travel to remote locations from April to November and work outside while adhering to company guidelines including grading of raw product and equipment operation.
• Field experience is a plus but is not required.

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The hourly rate for this position is $20.24 per hour USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.
