Product Manager

Sensient is growing!!  Come join Sensient in this exciting time as a Product Manager Engineered Food Colors.  This exciting and dynamic role will be a strategic thinker responsible for identifying new product opportunities, improving product line profitability, and managing product lifecycles. You will ultimately be responsible for driving revenue growth and supporting the overall Food Colors North America strategy. 

What You’ll Do:

• Cost-optimize assigned product lines – Identify opportunities and drive efforts to improve costs through supply chain, manufacturing and portfolio management to improve both market competitiveness and product line profitability. 
• Focus on product line improvement by collaborating with the commercial team to identify the best way for Sensient to service the customers’ needs. Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement solutions.  Provide value proposition development by defining specific product value propositions and communicate the value proposition to internal R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams.
• Provide product lifecycle management by managing products through launch, growth, maturity, and decline stages. Specifically, guide procurement and operations through launch and growth phases by providing demand guidance. Conduct strategic SKU rationalization in collaboration with supply chain, application lab, and other key stakeholders. 
• Develop pricing strategies and recommendations for all assigned product platforms. Work with the pricing teams as needed on specific customer pricing projects.  Develop data analytics dashboards and KPIs to analyze product performance and profitability in order to measure ROI.
• Provide product definition by defining key development parameters for products including targeted applications, stability requirements, cost-in-use targets, product form, and other features.  Ensure product commercialization by overseeing and optimizing the commercialization process for assigned product lines.

What You’ll Bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree is required in Product Management, Marketing or a related field. MBA is a plus.  Certificate in Product Management or relevant experience 
• Experience with a manufacturer, particularly in the food ingredient or packaged food industries
• Must be an analytical leader and self-starter who is seeking upward mobility
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong manufacturing aptitude, and a keen entrepreneurial spirit.   The ability to be a crucial link between the commercial and manufacturing teams, ensuring alignment and driving business unit growth.
