Are you a passionate flavorist looking for a role where no two days are the same? 

We’re seeking an innovative flavor expert to join our team, based in vibrant Auckland, New Zealand. In this exciting position, you’ll work on diverse briefs across the entire sweet spectrum—from confectionery to beverages and everything in between. What you’ll do:

• Successfully execute flavor matching projects
• Develop flavors to meet customer guidelines/business needs
• Play an active role in managing raw material inventory & re-order materials when needed
• Compound flavor samples with consistent accuracy and precision
• Support the management of the local flavor library
• Evaluate new flavor ingredients and drive flavor innovation 
• Develop flavors to meet customer guidelines/business needs
• Successfully execute flavor matching projects
• Work closely with application team and innovation team to deliver winning concepts to our customers
• Support plant/procurement/QC as part of cross-functional teams
• Participate in sensory panels
• Deliver technical support and training to both internal and external customers
• Potential to travel to visit customers

What you’ll bring:

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry or related discipline
• 1-3 years on the job experience after completion of a flavorist training program or 4-5 years hands on flavorist experience
• Must be knowledgeable of basic natural and/or synthetic flavor raw materials
• Have a history of successful commercialization of flavor systems
• Experience with flavor manufacturing technologies, flavor extraction, dry flavor technologies, development of flavor and cloud emulsion systems
• Excellent math skills and a strong understanding of flavor chemistry (i.e. solubility, flavor interaction, stability, etc.), analytical chemistry, and GC/MS interpretation.
• Proficiency in English
