Flavors Pricing Analyst

We are looking for a Flavors Pricing Analyst. In this highly visible role, you will analyze current market-based positioning along with historical pricing data from previous sales, category best practices, and competitors to set new pricing and present recommendations to decision-makers.

What you’ll do: 

• Be the point of contact to provide sales with market-based pricing recommendations.
• Prepare pricing models and analysis using data sets of varying sizes and multiple sources
• Streamline analytical tasks with a focus on completeness and consistency of results.
• Work with internal experts like product managers, the costing team, and development to have a good understanding of Sensient’s offerings and product economics to provide clear pricing guidance.
• Partner with our internal teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our pricing strategy and pricing KPIs.
• Develop, revise, and maintain pricing tools that provides insights into price effectiveness, performance metrics, and other pricing related measures.
• Work directly with the sales and customer service teams to troubleshoot and resolve pricing issues.

What you'll bring:

• 4 Year College Degree, Business Management Degree a plus
• 2-4 years pricing analysis and setting experience required
• Data analysis background preferred
• Strong analytical skills to compare past and current sales records in order to establish market data along with the proposal for value-based pricing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as pricing analysts work with team members at all levels, including account managers and executive team members.
• The ability to pay close attention to detail while remaining accuracy in analyzing large sets of data.
• Advanced MS Excel, working knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce, and ERP systems such as JDE, and other business intelligence systems.

This role has a starting pay from $80,000 - $95,000.
