• Create ice cream, bakery and confectionery products to demonstrate Sensient’s product lines and effectively communicate the status of projects to the Applications Manager.
• Demonstrate leadership skills by integrating creative and technical expertise in a team environment.  Participate in cross-functional project activities.
• Accompany Account Representatives on customer calls to help educate our customers on company strengths and capabilities.  Assist the customer by providing solutions for their product and process challenges.
• Host customer workshops with to streamline project initiatives. 
• Coach and train less senior scientist on project work and skills.
• Work in the pilot plant and help to run equipment and test new products. 
• Identify and focus resources on new technologies and ingredients that will provide innovative solutions to customer and industry issues.
• Participate in scheduled sensory panels.
• Some travel may be required to visit customers and support plant scale ups.

What you will bring:

• Bachelors Degree or the equivalent in experience in Food Science/Food Technology, chemistry or related technical area with a minimum of 5-7 years experience in the food and/or flavor industry with a background in product development. 
• Demonstrated understanding of flavors and ingredients with expertise in key technical areas. Must have the ability to accurately formulate finished ice cream, bakery and confectionery products in most. Possess knowledge of pertinent processes, regulatory guidelines, and sensory testing. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver formal presentations is desirable. 
• A working knowledge of appropriate computer software applications is required.
