We are searching for an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to join our Summer 2025 internship program. The EHS Intern’s primary responsibility is to assist the St. Louis facility’s EHS Managers in carrying out day-to-day aspects of the St. Louis facility’s EHS program, including hazardous waste and safety recordkeeping, facility inspections, hazard assessments, program development, training, and addressing corporate EHS initiatives. This position is intended to serve as an entry-level role into the EHS field. The intern will be assigned a project and will be expected to present on the last day of the program.

What you’ll do:

• Support the facility EHS Managers through participation and completion of the following tasks: 
• Coordinate and complete inspections and documentation related to the facility’s environmental compliance in accordance with EPA standards
• Complete EHS inspections within the facility in accordance with OSHA standards
• Support completion of EHS work orders
• Collect, review, and manage documentation requirements for key EHS program initiatives
• Assist in the writing and developing EHS procedures for the facility
• Complete and periodically review site assessments for key EHS programs such as confined space, contractor safety, lockout/tagout
• Support incident investigations, incident response, and corrective action planning

What you’ll bring:

• Must be able to use Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) 
• Must possess the ability to work in a team environment and provide and accept critical feedback.
• Motivation and a positive attitude
• Able to work with people and possess the ability to serve others 
• Must have 20/20 vision with corrective eyeglasses, etc., if necessary
• Progress towards Degree in an EHS field such as Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA programs including HAZWOPER, RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator, Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry.
