Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a high-energy Marketing Specialist, with both marketing and social media experience, preferably in the food industry, who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.   The Marketing Specialist, under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager, will provide tactical support to a variety of marketing, communications and business development activities. Seeking a sharp, enthusiastic self-starter.

What you’ll do:  

• Maintain and refresh digital platforms (website social media, email, video) to ensure timely, accurate, relevant information and category-specific product application and technical information is readily available and communicated.
• Drive and maintain internal cross-functional communication and execution of new product timelines per stage-gate process;
• Execute social media postings; drafts timely, relevant, well-written content that aligns with communication strategy;
• Maintain POS library, both printed and digital, to ensure inventories are ample and information is accurate, up-to-date and disseminated;
• Mine for consumer/product insights via syndicated research methodologies and conducts GNPD analysis to support product demos and customer presentations.
• Access internal platforms to track and report customer/sales activity (Sales Force), Technical product information (DevEx/SensiDocs) and Sales/Volume progress (Power BI).
• Support Marketing with all customer-facing projects and communications including, but not limited to, new product launches, vendor selection, trade shows, direct mail campaigns, product demonstrations and sales training.

What you’ll bring: 

• BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or Business Management.  
• Minimum 3 years marketing experience with solid understanding of marketing fundamentals, preferred experience in the CPG Food or Foodservice industry..
• Advanced Power Point and Excel skills. Proficiency with MS Office Suite; MS Project and MS Power BI a plus!
• Proficiency/Familiarity with Sales Force, WordPress, Adobe AI a major plus!
• Understanding of digital media strategy, metrics and objectives (primarily organic, but paid digital is a plus).
• Expert organization, prioritization, and project management skills, with the ability to develop detailed timelines and ensure all milestones are delivered by due dates.
• Self-motivated with the ability to act with a sense of urgency, intensity, and integrity.
• Manages and meets deadlines with ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies.
• Eye for aesthetic balance and composition in graphic design and photography.
• Familiarity with syndicated data platforms such as Mintel, Innova Market Insights, IRI Nielson, etc. 
• Preferred general understanding of product development process.

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California.  

The starting salary for this position is $65,000 - $88,000.  Pay is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at Turlock, California facility and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
