Intern - Engineering

Sensient Colors LLC is looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Intern that will report to our Maintenance Management team. We offer the opportunity to gain direct experience in a manufacturing environment along with exposure to capital projects during this summer. The internship will be based out of our St. Louis facility near downtown St. Louis. Position is a paid internship.

What You’ll Do: 

• Preventative Maintenance and Calibration Systems. Preventative Maintenance scope and vendor quotes
• Inventory management audits and upgrades. Equipment and asset identification and labeling.
• Documentation research and organization. 
• Equipment vendor research and compatibility. Capital Project management assistance.
• Hands-on assistance with Maintenance Engineers and Project Engineers.

• Excellent proficiency in verbal and written communication. Good judgment and decision-making skills. Able to deliver effective and accurate results and meet deadlines. Good professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team on a broad variety of projects.
• Able to establish and maintain working relationships with employees across all levels. Strong level of influence and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCad and Internet Explorer.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and a initiative-taker. Ability to execute, multi-task and thrive in an extremely fast paced, high growth environment. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner.
• A bachelor’s degree in-process within Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Intern applicants must be at a minimum status of a junior level and working toward a four-year degree Engineering program. A minimum of 3.0 overall GPA is required.
