Field Representative

We are looking for a Field Representative to join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business, stationed in the Pasco, WA area. This position will be responsible for overseeing all Onion and Garlic crops grown in both the Pasco, WA region and the Tulelake, CA region. You will be responsible for selecting and leading a grower base that aligns with the goals and objectives of SNI. 

Through awareness, investigation, planning, and responsiveness, you will work with internal and external contacts to monitor crop conditions throughout the growing year and address any issues that could increase risks to the company. You will also provide direction to growers during planting and harvest operations, ensuring fields are adequately prepared and meet the required planting and harvesting standards. 

What you’ll do:  

• Maintain working relationship with key grower contacts such as, managers, PCA's, irrigation foreman, tractor foreman, etc.  Work to align the direction of such contacts with the goals and objectives of the division.
• Through awareness, investigation, planning and responsiveness work with necessary contacts to prevent specific crop conditions that increase risks to the company. Directly responsible to ensure that specific fields are adequately prepared meeting standards of planting and harvesting.
• Responsible to obtain all required data from growers ensuring timing and accuracy of data. This includes required information prior to field selection, accurate contract information, specific field data prior to planting, crop monitoring data throughout the growing year and required data prior to harvest.
• Keeps key people informed.  This includes, field manager, other field reps., seed department employees, grower contacts, research personnel, operations director, etc.

• Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to perform crop inspections and yield estimates for designated fields.  Use the information gathered from these inspections to better forecast and set the harvest schedule 
• Excellent planning skills and ability to formulate and maintain schedules for multiple objectives

About Sensient Natural Ingredients 

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The salary range for this position is $56,925 - $94,875 USD.  Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Livingston, California facility and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
