Supply Chain Sustainability Analyst

The Supply Chain Sustainability Analyst is responsible for developing supply chain sustainability initiatives, coordinating the Company’s efforts to track and manage supply chain emissions, assessing sustainability-related risks within the supply chain, and overseeing supply chain sustainability management systems. This position works closely with both our sustainability and procurement teams and interacts with all departments in the organization to develop and advance Sensient’s sustainability strategy.

This position is office-based in either Milwaukee, WI or Hoffman Estates, IL with travel to Sensient operations and supplier sites worldwide as need requires. 30-40% travel.

What you will do: 

• Manage Sensient’s scope 3 emissions, with an emphasis on purchased goods/services and transportation. Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and plant management to create a greenhouse gas emission reduction plan for relevant scope 3 categories.
• Conduct supplier and raw material sustainability risk assessments and manage the related tools and systems. 
• Assist in managing the Company’s compliance with key sustainability regulations, including the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
• Perform supplier screening, selection, and onboarding as it pertains to the Company’s sustainability strategy.
• Engage with suppliers to assess sustainability performance, communicate expectations, and identify mutually beneficial solutions for progress.
• Partner with key suppliers and customers to improve supply chain impacts, including raw materials sustainability, emissions, water use, waste, and social impact.
• Manage our supplier code of conduct process and conduct compliance testing as required.
• Serve as the supply chain sustainability subject matter expert and advocate for the integration of sustainability into supply chain processes.
• Lead the procurement team’s efforts to integrate sustainability components in purchasing decisions.
• Develop sustainability educational material and conduct training sessions for our procurement team.
• Collaborate with R&D and Sourcing teams to improve the environmental and social impacts of our products through raw material selection.

What you will bring: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field preferred but not required. 
• Working knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks, including SASB, TCFD, EU’s ESRS, and CDP is preferred but not required. 
• Supply chain, sourcing, and/or corporate sustainability experience is preferred but not required.
