POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinate customer orders and freight to ensure finished goods are shipped on time and in full. This position will ensure that customer orders are allocated, picked, packed, and shipped per the customer requirements and requested ship date. Coordinate with freight carriers to ship both customer collect, pick up and prepaid freight.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Handles any freight administration, reporting, approved carrier tracking, and general administrative support. 
  • Reporting and investigation of freight variances, on-time delivery, quality metrics and minimizing freight delays.
  • Prepare shipping documentation that accompanies shipments.
  • Review and verify all outbound shipments are in compliance with customer specific requirements.
  • Ensure shipping modes are efficient and cost effective.
  • Root cause analysis of shipping failures.
  • Follow Export Trade regulations and all applicable regulations.
  • Provides support to logistics manager for inventory investigations, customer inquiry investigations, and other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:  

  • Good communication skills with people outside of department e.g. sales, customer service, management 
  • JD Edwards capability in inventory management, customer order, and master data
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school education or equivalent education
