The General Manager Asia for Sensient Beauty will provide leadership and direction to the regional division’s operations in the assigned geography and will ensure business goals are met consistent with overall objectives of the division. The executive in this role will hold responsibility for achieving planned profit and expense goals, development of strategies and plans, and the achievement of overall objectives of the business unit.

This is a fulltime job, based in our offices in Singapore.

What you'll do:

• Manage the business unit’s P&L to ensure realization of profit and expense targets.
• Develop and execute the unit’s overall growth strategy in alignment with that of the Group and Sensient Technologies organization, while ensuring that operations conform to local and county government regulations.
• In the current changing markets, you will be responsible for growing sales revenue of our Beauty business unit in the region, which includes manage, direct and monitor the daily operating activities of the business unit with a focus on commercialization and localization of our product portfolio, and growth through acquisition and expansion of distribution sales.
• Foster a healthy respect for Sensient culture and provide strong oversight, leadership and mentoring of key direct reports, to include Sales, Technical, Marketing and Finance leadership roles in different countries. In addition, strong indirect management of manufacturing, customer service, supply, HR, regulatory, etc. 
• Take all steps necessary to enhance the vitality of the business unit through intelligence related to key domestic and global competitors, markets, product innovation, trends, and business development opportunities.

What you will bring:

• Minimum of 10 years of business experience in regional and P&L leadership positions of increasing levels of responsibility, with a well-rounded background in B2B sales. 
• Due to the technical nature of our business, we ask you to bring experience in technical, value-added, non-commodity selling business (personal/home care, food, pharma, nutra, chemicals, etc.).
• Strong leadership and collaboration to indirectly manage and influence across departments at a regional level. 
• Experience in managing diverse markets, delocalized and multicultural teams. 
• Demonstrated success meeting financial objectives, increasing profitability, and directing and motivating teams.
• This person will be a self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial orientation, adaptable, hands-on mentality and the ability to frame solutions through teamwork and cooperation across all functional areas.
• Ability to travel across the region 50% of the time, with quarterly trips to Europe (English fluency required).
