Product Manager, Food Colors Europe

Job Summary:

Sensient Food Colors is a global leader in the development and manufacture of food colors. The Product Manager will be a pivotal member of the business unit responsible for managing product lifecycles, improving product line profitability and identifying new product opportunities. This strategic thinker will ultimately enable driving revenue growth and supporting the overall Food Colors Europe strategy.

This position requires a high degree of collaboration with other functional areas like marketing, R&D, technical applications, supply chain, and operations. Your excellent interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep understanding of value propositions will make you successful in this role. While a technical background is not required, the ability to discuss and direct technical discussions is imperative.

What you'll do:

  • You manage products from launch through the complete Product life cycle
  • You manage a cross-functional product portfolio, co-creating to define portfolio and communication priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Develop data analytics dashboards and KPIs to analyze product performance and profitability in order to measure ROI in line with differentiated product selling & categorization
  • Closely monitor the portfolio landscape - including competitive launches - and identify potential strengths and gaps in products, processes, and technologies
  • Oversee innovation stage-gate process, optimize speed to market while ensuring that all key checklist activities are completed
  • Define key development parameters for products including targeted applications, stability requirements, cost-in-use targets, product form and other features
  • Define specific product value propositions and communicate these to internal R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams
  • Prepare new product launch plans to ensure launch readiness, and help to develop pricing strategies and recommendations for all new product platforms, including timely follow-ups and post-launch monitoring
  • In conjunction with the broader marketing team, outline target customer segments, buyer personas and overall new product strategy that will guide our product development process

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in a product management role
  • Work experience with a manufacturer in the food ingredient or packaged food industry is required
  • Ability to work as part of a team with complex, cross-functional project conversations
  • Business-level English language (both written and spoken), fluency in German is a plus
