  • How can I apply?

    Applying is easy. Just share your personal contact data and upload your CV. You do not need to submit a cover letter or written references at this point. Diplomas and/or certificates will be requested during the final stage of the process unless you would like us to have them from the start. In that case, you can upload them at the application stage.

  • I have received a pymetrics link. Is it safe to open this link?

    Yes. pymetrics is an external partner in our recruiting process. It is an online gamified assessment that we ask you to complete for certain sales and R&D positions. If required for the role, you will receive this link upon completion of your application. The assessment will take about 20 minutes of your time.

  • How long does the recruiting process take?

    We always try to balance the time needed for a good selection process and the swift process that candidates value. We want to hire you for the long term. This requires that we carefully vet each other: we vet you and your skills, and you vet us as an employer of choice. So the time needed really depends on the role. In some cases, you may only have two interviews. In others, you will be asked to complete more interviews or other tasks such as a presentation or an assessment. As a general guideline, we strive to complete a full recruitment process within 4-6 weeks.

  • Does Sensient offer remote and/or hybrid working?

    No, except for outside sales roles. We believe in the power of in-office collaboration: creativity is higher, output is accelerated, team spirit is stronger. Also, we are a company that likes to promote our employees from within. Supporting your personal development is much more effective when we can train and coach you in person versus a remote environment. Our outside sales positions are home based, however, as these employees travel extensively to visit our customers.

  • Why should I want to work for Sensient?

  • How long is the Sales Development Training Program?

    At least 2 years. We need to teach you our technologies, products, production processes, sales cycles, customer service approach, etc., which requires an investment of time by you, and by us. During these training years, you will receive a competitive salary, and upon graduation, you will become eligible to earn an uncapped sales incentive. Our goal is to develop best-of-the-best sales managers who will drive our future success. A true win-win arrangement!

  • Do all your locations have factories?

    Many of them do, but not all. When you apply for one of our positions and are invited to an interview with a recruiter, we will inform you about the specific location for which you have applied. Please also refer to our location map on the career page to see our worldwide locations.

  • Sensient is a chemical company. How safe are your products and the work environments?

    We are proud to have an extensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) structure in place. Our global EHS team ensures that our employees are well taken care of, and all regulations and best practices are followed to keep factories safe. Our Quality teams around the world check every single product before it is shipped to the customer to guarantee the highest possible quality standard.

  • I heard that Sensient has a ‘suit and tie’ policy?

    We do. Our professional dress policy reflects our respect for each other, our customers, and the work that we do. Professionalism and integrity are non-negotiable expectations here at Sensient, and how we dress reflects how we conduct ourselves and how we run our business. It is also our brand. Feel free to ask your recruiter about this in your first interview, so you feel comfortable and prepared for an onsite interview.

  • Is Sensient a company in which I can start my career at entry level?

    Yes. We have many entry-level opportunities. These range from training programs in different job categories, to starter jobs for people at the beginning of their career. As we like to promote our employees from within the organization, your first job with us could be the first step down the road to a managerial or executive position.

  • What type of products do you have and what type of clients do you work with?

    We are a B2B company, and we sell our raw materials and ingredients to manufacturers in the food/beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, and specialty chemicals industries. Our client base ranges from start-ups to multinational CPG companies. As a consumer, you will find our ingredients in your favorite products on supermarket shelves, as well as in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.

  • Does Sensient offer internships?

    Yes, we do, for multiple departments and across multiple locations. We are present at job fairs and post internships on our career site. We also have built a solid track record of hiring previous interns once they have completed their studies.

  • How and where does Sensient conduct interviews?

    Depending on the role and your location, we may invite you to the site for your interview(s). Alternatively, we may start with a video interview and move to on-site discussions after that. Regardless of where and when, we do ask you to dress professionally.

  • Who pays for my interview-related travel?

    We do. You collect the invoices with your travel-related spending and hand them in after the interviews. We will reimburse you for the costs incurred.

  • What if I would like to work at Sensient, but there are no open roles that suit me?

    On our career site, you will see a field that we call ‘job agent’. Here, you can register yourself with your chosen location(s) and job category. This way, you will automatically be notified of any future open jobs that match your filters. You will not have to monitor our jobs frequently, and you will not miss out on any great opportunities that meet your requirements.

  • Do you offer relocation or visa assistance?

    For certain roles, we offer relocation assistance. If the role you are applying for has been approved for relocation support, your recruiter will tell you in your first interview.

    Visa sponsorships can be provided under certain conditions. This is country- and role-specific. Your recruiter will inform you about this during the initial interview.
