Maintenance & Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Maintenance & Engineering Manager to join our team! You’ll be responsible for directing all maintenance and equipment modification activities at the Turlock facility to ensure compliance with all quality objectives, safety programs and achievement of production throughput. The manager will be responsible for the development of maintenance staff by providing leadership and direction to meet demand of both external and internal customers. You'll oversee local site engineers and direct capital projects. You’ll select vendors and suppliers, lead and manage projects, and function as the site technical liaison between the site, corporate and OEMs.

What you’ll do:  

• Responsible for facility and equipment repairs. Maintain maintenance department budget, including labor, parts, and services. 
• Maintain and review maintenance logs to determine maintenance needs, areas of improvements and capital projects 
• Work together with operations to determine root cause of failures and appropriate corrective actions. Coordinate preventative maintenance, repair and services of plant equipment. Explore predictive and autonomous maintenance strategies
• Responsible to establish, maintain and enforce effective safety program within the maintenance department which includes contractors. The program will meet all County, State, and Federal laws and regulations and will aid in achieving safety related objectives for the division
• Responsible for miscellaneous capital budget for the plant

What you’ll bring: 

• Experience with CMMS, AutoCAD, programming, and troubleshooting food process equipment
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or a minimum of 5 years in maintenance with 5+ years in maintenance management 
• Experience with Automation equipment and packaging and filling equipment 
• Strong knowledge of ammonia systems. 
• Highly motivated self-starter who is able to think independently, yet work as a team player 
• 5-7 years of combined plant/process maintenance management and project management experience, preferably in the Food sector

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Turlock, California. 

The salary range for this position is $94,550 - $130,000 USD. Pay is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.  In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families.  This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.

RELOCATION: We are unable to offer relocation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the Turlock, California location and must reside in the area or be willing to commute.
